Little G Weevil (Szűcs Gábor) published his new album, which was an important milestone in his career, since he gave the traditional blues up and created a more modern work. His partners are Daniel Harper, the outstanding drummer from Atlanta, the pianist Premecz Mátyás, the guitarist Borsodi László and the bass guitarist Pfeff Márton.
“The main inspiration of the album was the Afro-American music of the 1970s. This is the era in which blues started to merge with modern and funky rhythms and with soul melodies. During these years rock songs with blues base started to appear. These determines my new album, as well. I am very proud of this album, I think this is the most creative work of my entire life. This is a so-called Hungarian-American-English-Spanish coproduction” – said Little G. Weevil to hvg.
