It was 50 years ago, when the Iparterv exhibition was held, which has become the name of a generation. Péter Sinkovits, a recent art historian called eleven young avant-garde artists in the hall of the downtown headquarters of a construction company. The exhibition followed the organizational principles of Kassel Documenta 4 (1968). The organizer wanted to present the works of the best avant-garde artists to the public with quality-based selection. The ensemble was not considered to be a classical group exhibition; the selection extended to each of the progressive trends of that time, so its composition did not follow the style unit.

Our exhibition is not a reconstruction, but rather tries to revive the atmosphere with the works that represent the Iparterv exhibition and those that were only registered in a catalogue.
