If november, then it’s time for Bakony Expo again; We can enjoy the goods and gourmandism of the Bakony Hill and the Balaton Uplands trough three days in the Veszprém Aréna. The Bakony Expo invites you and your family on a whole weekend adventure for the 5th time.
This year’s sensation is the rosehip – we can meet with it on craftsman programms and also in Gasztroudvar and Nagymama portája.
The little ones can peek into the folk playgroup, they can try out the crate derby or just compete in the outlaw pentathlon or in the sepherds’ test, where they could learn the exciting way of the herding and the lanceman living. Furthermore, they could take part in the craftsmen show, where they can make their own goods and of course the ever favourite petting zoo will also take place.
Not just on the stage, but also between the merchants’ stands could we meet with whirling dancers and musicians, because the Forgórózsa mulatság (Whirling rose amusement) is also a colourful part of the Ssaturday and Sunday. Moreover, the watchfuls could also spot their favourite handball player there...
If we will become hungry, we can go to the booth of Gasztroudvar, where, where we can enjoy the wide range of dishes. Next to the traditional foods we now please the lovers of street food and also the fans of chimney cakes won’t be disappointed.
On Saturday in Gasztroudvar we can cook dishs from around the World with the help of the foreign students of University of Pannonia, on Sunday Bálint Kocsis food stylist shows us his tricks for St. Martin’s Day for making a light and delicious afternoon’s snack or the creative use of rosehip. We will welcome the Lencseszemek Asszonykör from Nemesvámos as an old guest, who will teach us, how could we cook rosehip marmalade or if we would like to we can help them cooking.
You can find here the folkdancers from everywhere around Veszprém from the youngest to the oldest , there will be music and dance traditions of the sepherds, folk instrument show. Children’s dance, puppetshow of Mattie the Goose-boy, or Lúdas Matyi and Lord Döbröghy. For the music lovers will play Kyra Németh Smallchestra, the Veszprémi Ifjúsági Fúvószenekar (Junior Brass Orchestra) and Zoltán Kalló leader violinist. At the end of the fair Anna Ilyés Szabó székely narratress will tells you wounderful stories.
